Driving schools in Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire is the harbour town on the south coast, with Monkstown, Glenageary, Sallynoggin and Glasthule around it, and it is home to the south side's test centre at Pottery Road, usually called Deansgrange. Learners here get a mix that few other areas offer. The seafront and the roads through Monkstown and Sandycove are narrow, lined with parked cars and busy with pedestrians on any dry day. George's Street in the town centre is a one-way loop with bus stops and loading bays. Behind the town, Sallynoggin, Glenageary and the Rochestown Avenue area have standard estate roads with 30 km/h limits and several roundabouts, and the N11 is a few minutes away at Cabinteely for faster driving. Hills are everywhere: Glenageary and Killiney Hill roads give plenty of practice at starting on a slope. The DART runs along the coast with stations at Salthill, Dún Laoghaire and Sandycove, and buses go along the N11 and the coast road to the city. The test centre is on Pottery Road near the Deansgrange crossroads, about 3 km south-west of the harbour, and the roads around it, Kill Avenue, Rochestown Avenue and the Deansgrange Road, are the ones local schools use most.
