Driving schools in Malahide

Malahide is a seaside village north of Portmarnock, with the estuary on one side and the Swords Road on the other. Learning here means narrow village streets with parked cars, pedestrian crossings and the one-way loop around the Diamond, then the Coast Road towards Portmarnock, which is open and fast with cyclists and walkers along the sea wall. The estates behind the village, such as Seabury, Yellow Walls and Biscayne, are 30 km/h with cul-de-sacs for reversing practice. The Malahide Road and the Swords Road are the arterial roads, with roundabouts at the Hilton and at Swords by-pass that get congested in the morning and from three o'clock. Summer weekends bring beach traffic and parking that spills onto the main streets. The nearest RSA test centre is Finglas, around fourteen kilometres west by the M50 or the R107, and Killester is a similar distance south along the Malahide Road. Malahide has a DART station on the Howth branch and buses to the city centre leave from the village and the Swords Road, so a pick-up at the station is the usual arrangement.
