Dublin 17 is Darndale, Belcamp, Priorswood, Clonshaugh and Balgriffin, the belt of the north city between Coolock and the airport. The roads here are shaped by the Malahide Road and the N32, which is a dual carriageway with a 60 km/h limit linking the Malahide Road to the M50 and the M1 at the Darndale junction. Learners get fast slip roads and busy roundabouts there, then quiet, ramped 30 km/h estates in Priorswood and Clonshaugh for the slow work. The Clonshaugh Business Park brings truck traffic in the mornings and the Malahide Road is slow from Coolock Cross to the Northern Cross at rush hour. Newer estates at Belcamp and Balgriffin have wide roads, mini roundabouts and lots of parked cars. The RSA test centre at Killester is the nearest, a few kilometres south through Coolock and Artane, and Finglas is reachable along the M50 or the Oscar Traynor Road. Clongriffin has a DART station on the eastern edge and buses to the city centre run down the Malahide Road and through Darndale, so most schools can pick up on a main road.
