Driving schools in Dublin 5

Dublin 5 is Artane, Raheny, Harmonstown, Kilmore and the northern half of Coolock, a district of 1960s and 1970s estates between the Malahide Road and the sea. The estates have wide avenues, crescents and cul-de-sacs with speed ramps and a 30 km/h limit, which is why many schools from across the north side bring beginners here. The harder work is on the Malahide Road and the Oscar Traynor Road, both busy dual carriageways with bus lanes and large signalised junctions, and on the Howth Road through Raheny village, where the road narrows and parked cars force you to hold back. Artane roundabout and the Kilmore Road junction are busy from early afternoon when the schools let out. The RSA test centre at Killester is on the southern edge of the district, within a few minutes of most of it. Raheny, Harmonstown and Killester all have DART stations and buses to the city centre run along the Malahide Road and the Howth Road. Schools listed under Dublin 5 are usually also comfortable in Dublin 3 and Dublin 13.
