Driving schools in Finglas

Finglas is the village and the estates around it on the N2 road out of the city, straddling Dublin 11 and the Fingal boundary at Charlestown. It is a practical place to learn because the RSA test centre at Finglas is right here, in Jamestown Business Park off the Finglas Road, and a second one, Mulhuddart Maple House, is a short drive west along St Margaret's Road. The roads around the village give you most of what a test asks for: the Finglas Road and the N2 dual carriageway with its slip roads at Charlestown and the M50 junction, roundabouts at Charlestown Shopping Centre and Finglas Village, and the narrow, ramped 30 km/h streets of Finglas West and Finglas South where cars park on the footpath and buses squeeze through. Mellowes Road and Cappagh Road carry the hospital and school traffic and are slow in the afternoon. The village itself has a short one-way loop and tight parking. There is no train, but buses to the city centre leave from the village and from the Finglas Road, and the N2 gets you to the M50 in minutes.
