Driving schools in Balbriggan

Balbriggan is the northernmost town in County Dublin, on the coast beside the M1 and the Meath border. It has grown fast and its roads show it: the old Dublin Road through the town with narrow footpaths and parked cars, a one-way system around the harbour and the station, and large new estates to the south and west such as Castlelands and Hampton with wide roads, roundabouts and little traffic. The M1 junction at Balbriggan is the place to learn motorway merging, and the R132 to Balrothery and Swords is a long single carriageway at 80 km/h with farm entrances and bends. The town centre is busy at school times and on market days, and parking at the station fills early. The nearest RSA test centres are Finglas and Mulhuddart Maple House, both about thirty kilometres south by the M1 and the M50, which is why schools here often start the trip early on test day. Balbriggan has a station on the Belfast line with frequent commuter trains and buses to the city centre run along the R132 through Skerries and Swords.
