Driving schools in Rush

Rush is a coastal village in north Fingal, between Lusk and Skerries, with two beaches and a long Main Street. The driving is village driving first: the Main Street is narrow, lined with parked cars on both sides, and has pedestrians crossing between the shops, so clutch control and judging gaps come early. The estates off the Skerries Road and the Lusk Road are flat and 30 km/h, with ramps and tight junctions. Beyond the village the roads are rural, with the R128 to Lusk and the R127 to Skerries both single carriageways at 80 km/h, bends, hedges and tractors in summer. The nearest fast road is the M1 at Lusk, about ten minutes away. Traffic is light except on summer weekends when the South Beach fills, and around the schools on the Main Street in the afternoon. The nearest RSA test centres are Finglas and Mulhuddart Maple House, both roughly twenty-five kilometres south by the M1 and M50. Rush and Lusk share a station on the Belfast commuter line, a short distance outside the village, and buses to the city centre run through the Main Street.
