Driving schools in Dublin 8

Dublin 8 is the Liberties, Kilmainham, Inchicore, Rialto, Dolphin's Barn and the South Circular Road, the inner south-west of the city. The South Circular Road and the streets around Portobello are narrow, parked up on both sides and full of cyclists, and the whole area inside the canals is a 30 km/h zone. The Luas Red line runs along the road through Rialto, Fatima and James's, which means tram tracks, tram signals and road layouts that change around each stop. Further west, Inchicore and the estates between the Naas Road and Bluebell are quieter and more like a normal suburb. Lessons here often use the Chapelizod bypass or the Naas Road to get a learner onto a dual carriageway quickly. On-street parking is paid almost everywhere east of Kilmainham, so most schools collect at the door. Heuston Station, the Luas Red line and buses along the quays and Thomas Street connect Dublin 8 to the rest of the city. There is no test centre in the district. Tallaght is the nearest, about 8 km south-west by the Crumlin Road and the Tallaght bypass, with Finglas a similar distance to the north across the river.
