Driving schools in Dublin 12

Dublin 12 is Crumlin, Drimnagh, Walkinstown, Perrystown and Greenhills, the broad band of 20th-century estates between the Grand Canal and the Tallaght bypass. The district is built on a grid of wide roads, which is why so many schools use it for early lessons: the estates off Walkinstown Road and Kildare Road have long straight stretches, plenty of T-junctions and 30 km/h limits. The hard parts are the big junctions. Walkinstown roundabout, where six roads meet, is one of the most awkward in the city, and the Long Mile Road and the Naas Road are fast, multi-lane and heavy with trucks heading for the industrial estates. Crumlin Road and Drimnagh Road carry the main bus services to the city, with bus lanes on the inbound side at peak times. The Luas Red line stops at Drimnagh, Goldenbridge and Bluebell on the northern edge of the district. Tallaght test centre is close, about 4 km to the south-west along the Greenhills Road or the Tallaght bypass, and the roads around Broomhill are of the same type as those in Greenhills and Walkinstown. Schools that cover Dublin 12 almost always cover Dublin 6W and Dublin 24 as well.
