Driving schools in Lucan

Lucan is the large suburb on the Liffey at the western edge of the county, taking in the old village, Esker, Adamstown, Griffeen and the estates along the N4. The village has a steep, narrow main street and a tight bridge over the river, and traffic backs up through it at peak times, so lessons start in the estates. Those estates, Esker, Finnstown, Griffeen Valley and Adamstown, are modern, flat and built around roundabouts, with 30 km/h limits and good sight lines. The Newcastle Road and the Griffeen Avenue are 50 km/h distributors, and the N4 dual carriageway runs along the northern edge with the M50 interchange a few minutes east. Adamstown has a railway station on the Kildare line, and buses run along the N4 and through the village to the city. Lucan sits between two test centres. Leixlip, at the Springfield Hotel, is about 4 km west along the N4 and is the one most Lucan learners use. Mulhuddart is across the river to the north, about 8 km by the M50, for anyone who prefers it. Schools covering Lucan usually cover Clondalkin and Dublin 20 as well.
