Driving schools in Dublin 6W

Dublin 6W is Terenure, Templeogue, Kimmage and part of Harold's Cross, the postal district that was carved out of Dublin 6 in the 1980s. For a learner it is one of the more practical parts of the south city. The housing estates off Templeogue Road and Fortfield Road are wide and calm, with 30 km/h limits and space to practise turning in the road and reversing around a corner. Terenure crossroads is one of the busiest junctions on the south side, with five roads meeting and buses crossing in every direction, so it is usually left for later lessons. The Templeogue Road and Kimmage Road Lower are 50 km/h arterials with bus lanes at peak times. Traffic is heavy around the many schools in the district between half past eight and nine, and again around three. Buses run through Terenure and Templeogue to the city centre, and the Luas is a short walk away at Harold's Cross. Tallaght test centre is the one most learners in Dublin 6W use, about 6 km south-west down the Templeogue Road and the Tallaght bypass. Schools that cover Dublin 6W usually cover Dublin 12 and Dublin 16 as well.
