Driving schools in Tallaght

Tallaght is the town at the centre of Dublin 24, around the Square shopping centre, the hospital and the old village, and the test centre at Broomhill Road sits on its eastern edge. Learning to drive in Tallaght means getting used to big roads early. The Belgard Road, the Tallaght bypass and the Blessington Road are dual carriageways with large signalised junctions, bus lanes and the Luas Red line crossing at several points, and the roundabouts at Belgard and Greenhills are busy from seven in the morning. The estates behind them, Kilnamanagh, Tymon North, Springfield and Old Bawn, are quieter, mostly 30 km/h, with the parked cars and tight turns that suit reversing and turning practice. The village itself has a narrow main street and a one-way section that is usually left until later. The Luas runs from Tallaght to the city centre in about 45 minutes, and buses leave the Square for the centre, Clondalkin and Rathfarnham. The test centre is in the Broomhill industrial estate off the Greenhills Road, within 2 km of most of Tallaght, so local schools spend a lot of their time on the roads around Airton, Broomhill and Belgard.
